Ring test
Put drop of oil on a piece of paper. Check the paper once it’s completely dry. If you can see an oily ring, your oil is fake. Keep in mind that heavier and darker oils like sandalwood, vetiver, and patchouli leave spots behind.

Label-check
On a label must contain the Latin name of the plant.

Packaging issues
Do not buy a something packaged in plastic. Always opt for dark/amber colored glass bottles.

Organic oils

Check for any USDA organic seal or look for “wild-crafted” on the label.

lavender
